amazing list don't you think?

It is a helpful to see what your body/mind are capable of doing to you.  I don't think that is the exhaustive list either.  I think that whatever disease you fear, your mind is fully capable of producing it just for your freaking out pleasure. >:(

I did that with an eye symptom of MS back in December. I was sitting down tallying, mentally, all of the reasons why I absolutely had MS, this time. ::)  My solace was.....atleast I don't have ***** symptom.  WHEW!  I kid you not, 2 days later I was at Wal-Mart and the ***** happened.  Then it happened another few times.  OMG  it freaked me out.  In Feb I went to the neuro and got all checked out.  Suffice it to say, I don't have MS.  And the ***** went away.  It hasn't happened in 6 months.  hmmmm now that I'm thinking of it.......  lol.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

it comes from a commercial website by some psychologist (since it is a commercial site, I will refrain from posting the link).   Lots of folks here love that list.  It is so helpful in reminding us what our minds and bodies can and will do to us.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

Thank you for posting this. For many years i have experienced a variety of these symptoms 'for no apparent reason'. Until about 6 wks ago when my doc said they were down to anxiety. I just thought i was going crazy.... it is pretty unbelievable how much of an effect that your brain can have on your physical wellbeing. Even now, i know that it what it is.... sometimes i still find it hard to believe.
Again thank you... it's so comforting to know... maybe i'm not going completely crazy

This is an awesome list. I have experienced most of these from time to time and never have been able to associate them with any diagnosis, even after extensive testing, which has lead to my hypochondria and heightened my anxiety. I am glad to know that a lot of this has to do with anxiety and not that I have some undiscovered disease.

I find it sort of ironic that the site this list is from is pretty much the first thing that pops up when you search for "anxiety symptoms," and yet so many people still have not seen it. Just goes to show that we really are Googling the wrong things...  :winking0008:

I'm trying to refrain from looking at the list this time....there are probably some symptoms on there that I used to have but have forgotten about.  All I have to do is look at the word "tingling" and I'll do it  :laugh3:
