worried about pancreatic cancer.
« on: October 29, 2008, 02:47:07 PM »
For the longest time I have had floating bowel movements and it was really making my health anxiety flare up.  I have just gone through a period of not eating very well and now my stools sink to the bottom.  I have myself so anxious about pancreatic cancer that I now have discomfort in the abdomen and of course I think its the pain that accompanies pancreatic cancer.  I can't get it out of my mind.  I should mention that when I had the floaters there was no fat in the toilet bowel and they were solid not loose and the right color.  I have not lost any weight but am slowly losing my appetite because of worry.  What do you guys thinks about this and do you think I have anything to worry about?  I am starting to get very depressed about this.  If I had pancreatic cancer  would my stools still float?  Can anyone tell me if heartburn is  felt right below the breast bone as that is where I am having discomfort.  Any reply would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Several things could cause pain or discomfort below the breast bone, heart burn being one of them.  Are you burping a lot or feel like your chest is full of fire?

Thanks for answering.  No I am not doing either.  I am full of nerves right now.  I have got myself dead and buried, health anxiety is such a horrible thing.  So far in my life, I've had lung cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer, bone cancer, brain cancer and now pancreatic cancer.  I am so thankful for this site as I can't talk to my family, I have to try and hide it anc act normal.

If it's any help, my sister recently died from pancreatic cancer and NOT ONE of her symptoms, from beginning to her end had anything to do with her bowel movements.  hope it helps.  I dont want to tell you the symptoms - but they are none of what your talking about.  It sounds like diet?? :action-smiley-065:

Okay, I just watched this segment on a show called "The Doctors", they were talking about floaters and sinkers...

They said that poop should sink, floating poo means you've got too much fat and or oil in your system.

Anything jet black or bright red should be watched, all other colors are normal.
