I hear a lot of people talking about doing a lot of things to try and get your mind off it. But thats just avoiding the anxiety, and that cannot make it go away. Some things may calm you down, but in the end, you'll still have issues, your anxiety still unresolved.
Ive found that by far the best solution is to intentionally, repeatedly, terrify yourself. On purpose. You have to stop being scared of the sensation of being scared. The only way to do that, is to cause it over and over again. Its been the single most successful thing I've ever done in regards to my anxiety, and though i still get attacks, im not truly scared of them anymore.
But then, I've always been a bit different.
