The procedure is interesting. I can tell you what happened when I got it. They had me lay down, gave me an IV, and then my dad was driving me home and we were talking about something, although my memory only starts about halfway through. I think when we drove over some train tracks it jarred me fully awake.

It was uneventful aside from that.

most are.

however the results are, most of the time, just as uneventful

MOST anxiety occurs on a subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state

Hope everything overall went well for you Kina! I also had an endoscopy/colonoscopy and I was freaking out (bawling my eyes out) in front of all three doctors and the nurse! It was super embarrassing. They even tricked me and didn't tell me when they were about to "put me under" so that I wouldn't start spiralling and trying to escape or something. I was literally a mess! But afterwards it turned out to be absolutely fine! My results came back good also! I'm sure you'll be okay, just try not to worry so much about the results before you actually get them!

Kina & Brittany - If you ever go under again, tell your stories to the nurse who checks you in and the anesthesiologist. That's a somewhat common reaction to some drugs and there are things they can do to prevent it.
