Brushing vigorously and got a blister type thing ?
« on: August 31, 2014, 08:42:00 PM »
hi, i was brushing my teeth for about ten minutes this morning really hard and really fast on a specific area because i am worried about getting a filling next time i go to the dentist, the blister thing hurt a little bit but i have not noticed since the past half an hour, i have attatched a picture, i hope that it gets approved quickly. Will this thing go ? how long will it take ? any creams ?

Sorry, superapple,

I can't see a pic, but I had a blood spot on my gums once.  It looked horrific but went away in a day.  Hopefully yours will go away quickly too.

If it's like a blood blister or a CLEAR blister, they are very common and will go away on their own - usually the same day.

It's called a mucocele and totally harmless. They go away by themselves.

You can brush your teeth too much you know.  Most dentists recommend around 2 minutes I believe.  10 is just too much in my opinion and would worry about the enamel being worn down if that is something you're doing on a consistent basis.
