Anyone here experienced Eyelid twitching for weeks?
« on: August 31, 2014, 12:44:06 PM »
Hi there. it seems that my right eyelid is twitching lasting for a few seconds. it started few days (nearly 1 week) ago BUT i can still recall that this happened to me before way back 2012 or 2013 i think and it lasted for weeks i'm not quite sure.  :fragend005:

Anyone of you here experienced eye lid twitching for weeks? I don't want to panic myself i am trying to stay calm and i know this was happened to me before and nothing happened. But giving me reassurances will help me stay calm so please i hope someone can shed a light on me. Thank you guys :)

I've never timed it, but I'll have the same twitch come and go over long periods of time.  I know other people who get twitches in the same places a lot, too.  I think it's just how some people react to stress at times.

This is really getting annoying and scary! (sorry but it was my left eyelid not right, typo!)

So my left eyelid is twitching randomly for days!

eyelid twitching or any twitching  is NOTHING to panic over.

as I have said many, many times on this forum:  I don't care how someone describes it: all over the place, only once or twice, lasting for weeks or months, only in one place, feels like a ripple, flutter, summersault, leaps , can only be felt or others can see it, deep in the muscle or on the surface.........   Twitching comes from anxiety/stress, muscle overuse or just nerves getting nervy.  Have you looked at the thousands of posts about twitching.  It is uber common AND worrying over it only keeps it going.    Twitching is a GIANT YAWN.   If you want to call it BFS, then call it that.  But really there is nothing to panic about.

MOST anxiety occurs on a subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state

Ive been dealing with one of those miserable eyelid twitches the past couple weeks. Its annoying as hell but its not harmful. if it was severe enough to make it impossible to sleep because you cant keep your eyes closed or something, that would be worth worrying over.

I've had one for over a month, and also I have had my eye twitch every time I sneeze (achoo!  - twitch-twitch-twitch-twich....  achoo! - twitch
twitch-twitch-twitch-twich)  I sneeze daily a few times and this has been going on since FEBRUARY!
And when it was real bad for a month (no, not even same eye) it would make whatever I was reading bounce around too - annoying!
