Belly pain at night
« on: August 21, 2014, 09:24:22 AM »
I need some reassurance.  Been having acid reflux and a pain in my belly a little left of mid center abdomen.  Had a total contrast CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis which only showed minimal diverticula, everything else normal.  But this pain wakes me at night, just a pain through my abdomen, kind of cramping.  Went to Mayo Clinic yesterday and saw the GI doc who said my blood work was perfect and my scan normal.  He examined me and I showed him the spot.  He did some pressing to see if it was muscle, but that did not reproduce the pain.  It's worrying me, even though the scan was normal.  I'm having a colonoscopy and EGD on Sept 5.  I just don't like waking up in the night with pain.  I don't have the pain much during the day unless I really press on my abdomen.  Someone tell me this is not cancer of the stomach, please.
