Dizziness but the room isn't spinning.
« on: August 19, 2014, 04:24:16 AM »
Can you have perceived dizziness? Sounds odd I know but I have woken up this morning with bad anxiety. I feel dizzy but the room isn't spinning? It's really odd... I'm trying not to focus on it because that will make it worse but it's hard

Hi Chloe...perhaps what you are describing is 'vertigo' which is different from dizziness.  I know one of my most worst symptoms of anxiety has always, always been the vertigo.

I'm not sure if it's that... Isn't vertigo a dangerous symptom?

if you are talking about your anxious mind talking you into believing or 'feeling' like you are dizzy, then yes.  the mind talks people into believing all kinds of stuff around here.

MOST anxiety occurs on a subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state

That's most likely what it is sixpack. I hate my brain right now. All I wanna do today is sleep I'm blooming exhausted. When does this ever end..

I've had it a few times when my anxiety has been playing up, Chloe, had it on and off for a while a couple of months back, it went away on its own in the end
