Bowie I like. Especially his early work. The Ziggy Stardust phase of his career. Songs were much better back then. My girl. Talking about my girl. Classic song.

Take you back in time with a few songs here. Ones I have on my MP3 player.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfwVfEXJhQQ

Now the second one has been recorded by one or two others. But you simply can't beat the original. Just stands out as a classic.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoitegszoRc

Going to stick with the same singer for the third song. Just a song I love. Can't stand him these days.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxtCqs2WFZE

Same singer before he went solo. Used to sing with a band named The Faces. A sing along to song.

I really like the third one. It's a happy sounding song. It's a shame his songs aren't as good these days.
Here is another one.

Little bit of jazz. Can be relaxing music.

Not sure if you have ever heard of Mary Coughlan. Modern singer who likes the old sound. She is a singer you either like or you don't. Really have to be into her music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii3e4P-RVGg

She can sing, do we class them as normal songs too. No. Wrong words. She is far from normal. :laugh3: Big drinker.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy9dc5JePRo

One more by her. Sure why not.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meZWok6E5mc

Told you she could be a bit mad at times.  :laugh3:

Good morning, Cuchculan! :-)
First time hearing of Mary Coughlan. She definitely can be a little mad! The first two really do sound like they could be old songs. I think the last one sounds a bit more modern. I can see how this can be relaxing.
Here are two for you.

Another funky 80's song.

Because the symptom is quite vague and can be caused by a wide range of factors, finding a way to stop or prevent feelings of dizziness can be a process of trial and error. Great source anyway!

A good old southern rock band. Bit milder than the southern rock I normally pick out. But I do know the band. Have heard a good bit of their music. Play that funky music white boy. Think we all remember that song.

Going to begin with a Pearl Jam classic. They are known for other songs. But I love this one song. Been the old romantic that I am.  :happy0151: Just Breathe.

Another song I love. Bob Seger song. Turn the Page.

Thanks, Kavenchols. :-)
I like the melody of the first one. It's relaxing.
I think I might've heard the second before.

Love the man and his music. He was always amazing. A one off. Never be another like him. Do have a few CDs here by him. Going to pick a Bob Dylan song. I always wondered who wrote this song about. If you just listen to the words. He must have really hated them. There are a few guesses on the net you find. But nobody is ever certain. Great song in itself. When you hear the lyrics and think about the song. It is about somebody. They must have really done something bad on him.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOP6R3JvNHg

Going to go with a second Dylan song. A true song. Have read the book and watched the film. He was asked would he do a song about the murders and the person convicted. Rubens Carter. He was innocent. Arrested because he was black. Spent years in prison. The Hurricane.

These are powerful songs. Hmm, I wonder who he was singing about?
The second one is sad. Racism is terrible. Speaking of racism...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kyfm_pnPB60   :laugh3:
I'm actually not allowed to watch that show. My parents banned it the moment I first showed interest. Shame since the sister's friends have been planning a Father Ted marathon and she was hinting she would bring me, if it wasn't banned. For a while, I was watching it secretly. Fortunately for my parents, I hate watching it now because my mother let me watch it during a period when I was hopelessly anxious in hopes it would make me happy, and now I never secretly watch it anymore because it reminds me of that bad time.
A modern song. My mother and I like this one. It sounds happy.

It actually says that clip is not available in my country.  :laugh3: I am guessing it was the Chinese one. Ted standing at the window waving out with the black mark on the window that made him look like Hitler. Then Jack dressing up in all the Nazi gear at the end. Was an amusing sitcom. Song sounds good. Not one I have heard before.

Now for Echo and the Bunnymen. Great band from back in the day. This song was used in Donnie Darko.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzY9BR9mohY

Will stick with the same band. I always used to love the sound of them.

Not available in your country?  :laugh3: Yes, the Chinese one! It was actually the clip when Ted goes outside and a man greets him and says "I hear you're a racist now, Father!" Then he starts asking questions concerning if everyone is supposed to be racist now, and how does Ted expect him to devote himself to "the old racism" if he is already so busy, blah, blah, blah. Then a woman shows up and starts yelling about how it's about time someone stood up to the feckin' Greeks.
Ah, yes, Echo and the Bunnyman. I like their sound, too. I have an amusing story about this group. A long time ago my mother went to an Easter concert of theirs. They were wearing shirts with a rabbit on the cross printed on them, and she , being the religious person she is, was thinking "Oh, why am I here?".  :laugh3:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_msHpEa3_Y
My mother used to sing this one in the shower thinking the words were
"Hush now,
Dippy down down
This is scary" when really it's
"Hush now,
Keep it down, down
Voices carry"

Haircut 100. Back to the 80's. Very popular over this side of the world. Know the lyrics off by heart.

I know there was the second slow version of this song that made number 1 in a lot of countries. I still prefer the original version. Great band.

Simple Minds. One amazing band. Could listen to them all day. These are all songs I have on my MP3 player.

I like the sound of both of these. Especially the first. This kind of music is great.
I forgot to post the link to the song I said my mother used to sing incorrectly! Oh, well, here it is now.

We are back in the 80's. Think early to mid 80's is all good. Once the 90's came around music began to go downhill. Rave and dance and all that rubbish. Who doesn't like the Moody Blues. Good lead singer. Think I posted forever Autumn a week or so ago. Justin Hayward. Who was also the lead singer of the Moody Blues.

Going to try you out with something from Massive Attack. I always like the way they mix their sounds up. But this video is amazing. The baby in the womb singing. Sadly the you tube video is very dark.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7K72X4eo_s

Kate Bush people either love or hate. This is a duet she done with Peter Gabriel. Don't give up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiCRZLr9oRw

Every so often a band appear that are different. Thing with this duo was that they were both good singers in their own right. One thought she was better than the other. The other imagined she was better. One with the longer hair had a famous singer husband and used to singer with bananarama. Both went solo. One with the shorter hair had a few more hits following on from this group.
