Mm, I really like these. My dad's been listening to this style a lot lately. He goes through music phases of liking a certain style for a month or two.
I am familiar with this third song. Another one my dad's been listening to. And you know what? I think I like Edith Piaf, too.  :laugh3:

Good little happy song there. Morning time here again. We have reached over 100 posts and 1,000 views on this thread. Go us.  :laugh3:

Now for something a little bit different. Love the film this is from. Have the CD and all. My taste in music sure does vary.

Sure why not take a second song from her.

Yes! 100 posts and 1,000 views! And almost all on our own.  :laugh3:
I love Over the Rainbow. The movie used to scare me as a kid, though! But of course, not anymore.
The second one is cute. I googled the film which it was from. It looks very amusing. A girl and her friend kidnap the girl's mother and take her out on the open road in a trailer to keep her from marrying a man they know she doesn't love.
Now, what to show you..?

And this is completely unrelated, must you must read this book! It is my new favourite.

I must say, I've had more musical variety in my life than ever since this thread was started. And it's not over yet! :-)

Have a Billy Holiday box set collection here. I bought it for the mother. Am used to hearing it downstairs. As for the second link. It sort of opened wiki and then asked if I meant something else. In other words it was telling me what I put in was not there. I am assuming it is a book. As that is what you said it was. I love good books. Just finished A feast for Crows. Will be starting book 6 tomorrow in that series of books. These are big books. This summer will be remembered because of these books. Normal books are close on 400 pages. These ones go on for 800 plus pages. I am reading them back to back. Whilst others watch the TV programme. I still prefer the feel of a good old book in my hands.

Going back to Bob Marley again. This song is amazing. Reminds me of slave times. That sort of song. Not a song everybody would know. I have all his albums here.

I know you are not exactly into heavy metal music. This one song is amazing. Why not get the crowd to do the singing to begin the song. Is better on the album. With headphones on. Fear of the Dark.

Apologies for taking so long to respond. I'm sorry.
Definitely need that head-banging smiley! "Fear of the dark"- this song is about me.  :laugh3:
So, you are a book worm? I used to be, too, but lately I haven't been into reading so much. And yes, it was a book about a little boy named August who has facial deformities. After bring homeschooled his whole life, his parents finally decide to send him to school at age ten. That's where the trouble starts. The book is called Wonder and it is by R.J. Palacio. I loved it.
This song actually plays a role in the book.

Speaking of songs I've heard of in books...

This one came from a book, as well.

Bowie I like. Especially his early work. The Ziggy Stardust phase of his career. Songs were much better back then. My girl. Talking about my girl. Classic song.

Take you back in time with a few songs here. Ones I have on my MP3 player.

Now the second one has been recorded by one or two others. But you simply can't beat the original. Just stands out as a classic.

Going to stick with the same singer for the third song. Just a song I love. Can't stand him these days.

Same singer before he went solo. Used to sing with a band named The Faces. A sing along to song.

I really like the third one. It's a happy sounding song. It's a shame his songs aren't as good these days.
Here is another one.

Little bit of jazz. Can be relaxing music.

Not sure if you have ever heard of Mary Coughlan. Modern singer who likes the old sound. She is a singer you either like or you don't. Really have to be into her music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii3e4P-RVGg

She can sing, do we class them as normal songs too. No. Wrong words. She is far from normal. :laugh3: Big drinker.

One more by her. Sure why not.

Told you she could be a bit mad at times.  :laugh3:

Good morning, Cuchculan! :-)
First time hearing of Mary Coughlan. She definitely can be a little mad! The first two really do sound like they could be old songs. I think the last one sounds a bit more modern. I can see how this can be relaxing.
Here are two for you.

Another funky 80's song.

Because the symptom is quite vague and can be caused by a wide range of factors, finding a way to stop or prevent feelings of dizziness can be a process of trial and error. Great source anyway!
