One More Thing: Can Anxiety Cause Blackouts ?
« on: July 13, 2014, 01:25:06 AM »
so earlier today before taking my lexapro for the day(day 3 of 10mg) i went outside to talk to my dad while i was panicking and seemed to walk away from him and not even realizing. Then i decided to go into my room and turn the air on cause i got so hot. I took my shorts off and ran back outside i remember now what occurred but at the time my mind went completely blank and couldn't remember anything. So now my quesiton is is this a side effect from the meds or was it just a severe panic attack. Hopefully someone can help

This can happen with derealization. Or depersonalization. I was out once with my mum. Carried a Christmas tree home from the shops. Went to my room when I got home. Hour later I came back down the stairs and asked my mum when we were going to the shops. I had no memory of having been out at all. Wouldn't class it as a black out. Cause I never blacked out. More just a lapse in memory. Complete blank. Only happened once.
