Terrified of rabies
« on: July 05, 2014, 02:31:29 AM »
Like 2 or 3 days ago my friend and I were driving along the road when we saw some little kittens on the side of the road. We stopped and looked at them and realized they were acting pretty odd so we got back in the car and drove off. As far as I could tell, none of them bit or scratched me, and they never got closer than a few feet from me. However, since they were acting weird, I've since been so scared of getting rabies from one of them. Should I be worried? Like I said, I never came into contact or got that close to any of them, but of course with my anxiety I'm thinking of the worst case scenario :(

If they never got closer then a few feet from you and there was no contact you should be fine. If you are really worried call your local health dept and report the incident they may look for the kittens to be tested, but also they will assess you for risk.
