Can't relax?

Does anyone else feel like they can't relax because they know that they have "something" to worry about?

though we don't like to say it, the truth is a lot of us havent been able to relax in years. If I even try to physically relax, im so used to being tensed up physically that it causes actual pain to stop.

Sooner or later it just becomes part of the background sensations.

I know :( it's really bad. Also with me, I feel like life is pointless... Not like dismal depression (I can still have fun) but because I feel trapped. I often feel extremely conscious. Like conscious of my own consciousness, and super aware that I'm alive. Then I spend the next few hours worrying about that, and then I feel really trapped and anxious because I'm contemplating life itself. Then I feel this extreme dread because I feel like this cycle will never end.

I have a hard time relaxing too. I didn't use to realize this was a problem for me since being on edge is my normal state.  Even if I am not worried about something, I often feel like I "should" be doing something productive rather than relaxing.  I am working on giving myself permission to relax.  I find even when I am watching tv or reading, I still keep my muscles tight, so I have a ways to go.
