Strange new symptom
« on: July 04, 2014, 08:35:12 AM »
Ive been getting this strange new symptom which i cant quite figure out what it is... I think it happens when im more anxious than usual it feels like a vibration feeling in the bottom center of my rib cage near my stomach, it vibrates and then it feels as if it comes up my gut and gives me a slight need to cough. At first i was worried it was skipped beats but it cant be as its too far down, i think either reflux or inner shaking causing oxygen bubbles? Let me know what you think

I don't really have any idea to be honest. But I don't think it is anything to worry about. I think your body is in hypersensitive mode and you are becoming fixated on every little sensation your body is having.

Think to yourself this: "If I didn't have health anxiety, would I focus as much as I am doing on this and would I be worrying about it?" - if your answers are both no, then immediately you will be thinking in more rational terms about your symptoms.

Hi London,

I tend to agree with Venomsoar....you are giving your anxiety symptoms too much attention....when you feel weird stuff like that, try to tell yourself "come on anxiety, show me what you've got" and then laugh it off and find something to distract yourself with.  The more you concentrate on the little things going on in your body, the bigger they become....try your best to distract and ignore.  Good luck to you!!

I get internal shaking from anxiety.  It probably isn't a big deal. I have weird random sensations all the time. I ignore them. If it is a constant deal or happens daily and it bothers you then you might want to talk to a doctor to help ease your fear of what it might be. I honestly don't think it's anything that will harm you. Hope you feel better soon. :)
