Xanax Dosage???
« on: July 02, 2014, 01:04:27 PM »
Hi everyone
I am curious what dosage of Xanax you guys take? I have been having bad anxiety and panic lately and back on Xanax. I have .25 mg pills. I take about 1 a day. Can I take more you think? I am just curious how much everyone takes. I think I'm on a pretty low dose...
Thanks!!!

Hi,
I think you should discuss it with the doctor that wrote you the RX and decided on the dosage and go from there because no one on here is a doctor .

As for me I do take Xanax twice a day .5  so that is 1 mg total and I have never had it raised or taken extra now I may have too I don't know but for each person meds can be different in dosage if you are not feeling its helping then call the doctor okay and yes what you are taking is a low dose but Xanax doesn't stay in the system that long and is very addictive like some other med.

if there is any possible way to beat the anxiety without raising the dose then do try that first okay .

take care

Hi,  :action-smiley-065:

Yes, I would agree with the last post - I would see my dr. - regarding this - since they do have different type of benzodiazepines some will last longer in your system so you would take it less often than Xanax

Did you ever get an official diagnosis from your dr. ?

Are you seeing a Psychiatrist or just a general doctor?

I noticed you posted here back February 27, 2011 , and later this year in may you were on Celexa ? Has the Celexa helped ?

I found some very helpful links on self-quiz and self test that you might find very helpful, especially if you print them out and have them with you when you visit your doctor.  :grinning-smiley-003:
