I've been experiencing the same stomach problems as the last week--after just eating a small amount, like a banana or granola bar, I feel so full I'm going to burst. My stomach feels like a balloon blown up as much as it can go, that's about to pop. I've been taking in under 1200 calories per day, and I have to force myself even to eat that much...then my stomach feels so tight, like it'll burst, I can't sleep all night.
I went to a doctor on Tuesday who just talked to me (no physical exam) and said it was probably acid, try a low-acid diet. I sort of stuck to it but not that well. Went to a different doctor today, she felt my stomach, said it feels tight like a melon which was odd because I'd only had a granola bar. She said it was "probably" acid and to be serious about the low-acid diet. I know it's a bit hysterical, but the "probably" freaked me out--like something more could be really wrong. I wanted reassurance it wasn't stomach cancer and she said she couldn't know without an endoscopy, which maybe they'll do in two or so weeks if things don't improve. Something just feels really, really wrong and it's hard for me to believe it could just be acid.
