Yes, on the recommendation of my primary doctor. She knows that I suffer from GAD but has never mentioned health anxiety before and I never knew that it was a thing that existed until I stumbled on this forum and said, "Eureka! That's what I have been dealing with!" I mean it's pretty obvious, really. This imbalance thing is just the latest in a long, long line of classic health anxiety issues.
Anyway, when I told my doctor about my balance problems she referred me to an ENT and he did a bunch of tests. After everything was done, he told me that anxiety was most likely a contributor but that it was probably also related to a fluid imbalance in my inner ear as well. He gave me the exercises to do at home.
