massive fear of choking
« on: June 24, 2014, 11:16:52 PM »
Hi guys as the title suggests I've got a huge fear of choking and its givingme huge panic attacks and I'm pretty much freaking out 24/7 over this. My problem today, I was drinking some oasis and I had a gulp in my mouth, the first bit I swallowed went down the wrong hole but I proceeded to swallow the rest before coughing. Now I worried this ended up in my lungs due too the delay on my cough! If it had I'd have more symtoms than the usual reflex of coughing when something goes down the wrong hole wouldn't I? This fear is totally ruining my life  :(

It would be very difficult for a smal amount of water to cause you any problems. Unless you start having trouble breathing, you probably shouldnt worry about it.
