Hiding in my bathtub :(
« on: June 22, 2014, 03:14:28 PM »
A few weeks ago I had a pretty big nervous breakdown. I found most of my relief just locking myself in the bathroom and taking a hot bath. I just came back from vacation and was doing fine until I stated having anxiety over a low grade fever, it's gone now but I'm just not comfortable outside the tub for very long. I don't want it to be a crutch but it calms me to be here. I have a new job coming up in July and I really don't want to be like this. All I do is worry about myself and others and it's just getting to me. I can't hide forever, sometimes I wish I could just fly away from all my worries. I'm back on my antidepressants and I still get so sad over how I feel and how it's affecting my relationship. :(

I do the same thing!  But I don't think it's a bad thing.  In fact, baths/showers are relaxing.  I wouldn't worry unless it's having an impact on your life, like missing work, social time, etc.  My doctors always say to take a hot bath or shower an hour before your bed time, because it helps you relax and unwind.
