Ulcerative colitis or crohns
« on: June 20, 2014, 02:20:30 PM »
I was diagnosed with IBS a few years ago without any further testing. I've had a lot of diarrhea, vomiting, and a fever in the past two weeks and I'm starting to freak out. I'm worried that I have ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. Idk what to do.. I'm scared I'm going to die.

Have you ever had an EGD and colonoscopy done? That is the best way to know if you do have any digestive issues. I don't think chrohns or colitis just randomly start with a force either.

You can also have a stomach bug. Many stomach bugs last several days. I had one recently, and it last about a week. I've heard they can last two weeks. You may still want the doctor to check for an infection, especially if it's been that long. Stay hydrated too.
