anxiety attack around my child
« on: June 16, 2014, 11:57:53 AM »
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post but I felt I needed to say it so that maybe I'll acknowledge my minor accomplishment. This morning I made it through my very first anxiety attack around my 5 year old son. I've always had a fear of having one around him and not being able to control it before it turned into a panic attack. Most people would not understand that this is a huge accomplishment. Now the only thing is I've got what I call the after shocks of anxiety where I'm real jittery and I keep reliving the anxiety attack even though I know It's over and I now  know I can work through it without going full blown panic. Ugh to be normal again would be sweet relief.

Just think of the positive of the whole situation. You got through this and you done it with flying colours. You can be proud of yourself. Take from it that you can do it any time you want. Do it once you can do it a million times over. Well done to you. Remember to reward yourself. Even with something small. Be it food you like or a new book. By way of saying ' well done ' to yourself.

Congratulations, Fire!  THis is a big accoplishment and you should be proud of yourself.

You're on the road to recovery.

Keep up the good work,  and enjoy the small, sweet moments.  Mine come at nightfall.

Ty to both of you, I'm sure you know just a little encouragement goes a long way.
