To be honest im really not that anxious. Before my neuro i was crying thinking i knew i would die but ecer since my emg which was conpletely clean. Done on right leg left leg right arm and tongue. Not left arm because it was fine then. Anyway since then i have been ignoring how i felt really which isnt even too bad. My neurologist thought nothing at all was wrong with me. Yes i have had all those tests and normal. And yes when i drink liquids its like it goes down fast and easy but i never choke. Idk if possibly to show my butt atrophy haha but im not saying its muscle it could be a fat thing, but im very skinny. Which is odd because im loojing a little too skinny and i eat like a champ lol.

Im honestly not like omg anxiety. Im more of the ok i feel this most likely normal but what if and then i move on, but the dr appt just made me anxious because i think what if. I would just like emg of my butt back ans left arm just so i know im good.

Everything affected my right arm at first and now its completelt normal. I worked my way from doing 2 pushups barely to 20 easy. If i had an mnd dont think i could do that. Im 4 months into the original issues with throat popping up 2 months ago and left arm a month but my arm could have an explanation. I usually carry everything with my left including kids, but when i thought my r arm was weak i switched and held rmeverything with right neglecting left so that could be cause for weakness and it gets fatigued faster but that gallon of water is hard to curl when my right easilt does it

Sorry so long

Also my reflexes when i saw him 2-3 yrs ago for migraines were a normal 2, but at the time wheb seeing him i was in almost constant state of tense anxiety which could explain hyper reflexes and no babinski or jerk jaw or the finger one reflex haha and nerve conduction normal

Are you taking accutane by any chance? that gave atrophy in my butt (almost lower back area) many years ago when I was in  a high dose. The muscle returned when I discontinued the medicine.

Nope nothing but i do have 3 lumbar disc herniations with spinal stenosis and hypertrophy which could possibly cause glutral and leg atrophy

It's hard to say without examining you.  I can't assess atrophy without seeing it.  But, what I am reading is much perceived stuff coupled with normal EMG.  You are not choking, just "hard to swallow".  You have had "weakness" resolve...and actually gained strength through exercise.  I suspect that you can take the bad stuff off the table.  Now if the butt and calf is true atrophy it makes me wonder a bit about a pinched nerve in the back.  The reflexes are normal.  Brisk is 3+ which is normal.  What makes reflexes abnormal is clonus and/or pathological reflexes.  Normally I am a 1+/2+ but when I am anxious I could kick a hole through a wall.  It means zip without the other stuff.  If it's atrophy caused by *** it would have shown up on an EMG.  I believe much of this is anxiety possibly coupled with a minor medical issue.  I just don't see *** here.

My dr appt was good. No further tests ordered. I never had emg on gluteal muscles but he said that could be caused by my disc herniations and spinal stenosis in lumbar region. He did say my left arm is smaller but i have no weakness. I know left arms are smaller when right dominant but my left arm was bigger due to me carrying my kids on that arm, but oh well he is a specialist. Luckily for me i can go to appt like this get an all clear and move on. If it still bothers me months from now ill get it checked but for now hooray.

I wasnt just worries about *** by the way. More like msa and pd because i also had a tremor he said was benign. But i did acquire tremor after being on a strong antibiotic

I even asked him. Even, since im hyper aware of my body, if i was in early stages of something would he be able to tell and he said yes. Because by the time you noticed something is up its already going to be able to be detected by dr

Well there you go.  You now have two opinions saying low back is the likely cause of the buttocks atrophy.  A pinched nerve is the most common reason for  true atrophy in a young healthy individual.  The rest of your symptoms sounded more like perceived stuff from an anxious mind unable to accept that she is well.  I mean this is all the guy does for a living.  He doesn't make a living by missing ***.

well see im a nursing student and im more on the what if side of anxiety. my anxiety was higher at first due to my hormones (i had just given birth) but when they went back to normal my rational mind knew i was ok. but just added a healthy side of what if into the mix. the dr was actually impressed i knew it was anxiety lol
