The hard part is the worst I know.

So he thinks you are having seizures,  but did he say what kind?

Sometimes EEG is what shows seizure activity.

I know what kind - simple partial seizures. Where my sensory signals are off - I've had deja vu, strange smells, disequilibruim, ect. Disequilibrium for 10 years, strange smells for 3 years, and the deja vu is new. But i've heard it can be from anxiety as well. So we'll see.

Idk, that's what they're checking out. Right now I couldn't care less about the EEG. I'm more worried about the MRI.

Well it seems to me that if this started 10 years ago and it was from a tumor, the tumor would have caused a ton of major symptoms by now. And you would have been sicker. Tumors don't sit around, they grow. Even if was a benign tumor, they can still cause more symptoms. So I do not believe for a second you have a tumor.

Was this your first MRI?

This was my first MRI - I had a CT scan two and a half years ago when the strange smells started happening. I went to the neurologist though because my headaches have become more frequent (though they do go away when I distract myself and get my mind off of it - which is why Im hoping its anxiety. Didn't have one headache over memorial day weekend when we were on vacation) and I've been getting deja vu which is new to me.

Ok this makes me think for sure it's not a brain tumor.  If these really are seizures, and a tumor was the blame then no doubt it would have shown up.

I can't say if it's seizures or just anxiety, my guess anxiety since it can mimic every disease on this planet.

What kind of disequilibrium have you had for 10 years?

My neurologist confirmed yesterday that this could be seizure activity - or when you're stressed out and anxious, your brain is irritated and can cause these symptoms too. Should've been reassuring, right? Not when I went upfront and he told the nurse I needed these tests STAT. And then she told me that he wanted them done "fast" - grrrrreat.

The disequilibrium I suffer from is where my equilibrium will go "off" for a split second - where the world seems to go sideways. I've never fallen from this, but I usually do get tired afterward.

That would have scared me too. I'm assuming he knew you have health anxiety?
Anxiety can do those things. Maybe he just wants to be really careful. He don't want a law suit on his hands.

The disequilibrium sounds like inner ear. Have you had that checked out?
