Gallbladder
« on: June 09, 2014, 08:26:46 AM »
I think i had a gallbladder attack on the weekend and I feel horrible.  Before I go to the ER, I need some feed back.

Here are my symptoms:
pain in lower right rib area
when i pressed on the "pain" acid reflux would go into overdrive and then I would burp and loudly
my BM's are different and the color is greenish---sorry if TMI
I feel as sick and have no energy

Keep in mind that I have had an ultra sound, MRI and a CT scan done.  All three indicate no problem.

I know I have HA, but I KNOW I am not making this up

PLease, please help

Typically, green BM's are not something to worry about. Feeling sick and having no energy could very well indicate a virus or bug of some kind, and is likely nothing that would be concerning. The fact you're burping and getting acid reflux sounds to me like you're suffering from gas, more than anything. It's likely a stomach bug, which is causing gas, which is leading to pain. It's very common, and I've experienced it many times myself. Usually when I change my diet.

I would recommend trying some antacids and seeing if that helps the pain.  Pushing on it causing you to burp sounds like gas.

Thanks for the reply.  All of this started last month when I was put on mega antibiotics (macrobid, cipro and bactrim DS) for what my doctor believed was a UTI.....when the antibiotics didn't work I went to a urologist 2 weeks ago and dx with cystitis and pelvic floor dysfunction.  My entile GI system has been a mess since...My BM's are different and I have no appetite---but I haven't lost any weight.

This entire episode is driving me crazy.

I was thinking that maybe I should have a colonoscopy, even though the CT scan and MRI say that my intestines have no inflamation or obstructions

Boy do I hate having HA, why can't I be the type of person who doesn't get all worked up over every single symptom that I have.

My family is going on vacation next month and i am so obsessed with my health that I can't even get excited

Thanks for listening

Probiotics may help your GI system get back on track.

Seconding that suggestion, or ask your doctor for any other ideas, because those antibiotics would ***** up anyone's gut.
