actual injury and health anxiety
« on: June 07, 2014, 07:55:31 PM »
Are a bad mix. I had stitches for a thumb laceration and I'm doing good but every anxiety symptom I get I automatically think its the cut so I freak out and think something serious happened. I remember when I had the common cold a couple months back I got really scared it was something serious because of the anxiety and its symptoms that I made an appointment to see my doctor right away only for her to explain to me that it was just a cold and referred me to a therapist after asking about anxiety. Anyone relate ?

Most everyone I'd think, I went to the doctor not too long ago fearing I had tetanus because I had walked on some metal and it pricked me a bit, it wasn't rusty metal and it was inside mind you but googling can do that to you.
