Will do, how well did the celexa/lexapro work for u
After being on at least a dozen of the major SSRI and ADs, when my family or friends would ask, I would recommend Celexa\Lexapro as my first choice. Celexa was by far the easiest AD I have ever taken (fewest side effects), and acted faster.. 2 weeks, which was great!
I have always been very aggressive to overcome my fear of medications, so I worked with several psychiatrists in trying to find the best medication - Must get the job done, and with Least side effects (usually Sexual side-effects and Insomnia have been the two biggest for me) Just some of the most common AD Medications I have been on:
Zoloft (only 4 weeks)
Fluvoxamine (Luvox) - mostly used in the U.K.
Serzone (now removed from the market)
I been on some other older tricyclic antidepressants.
In the End..
- I went back to Prozac 20-40 mg / day depending on the amount of stress,
- 10 mg Diazepam at night (for sleep) as needed to offset the energizing effects of Prozac .
- 2,000 mg - 3,000 mg of Omega-3 fish oil, especially the ration of EPA / DHA - About a year ago, I started this supplement in large dosage after reading several books and new studies of Omega-3 helps the brain chemicals.
Helpful book was: - "The Depression Cure: The 6-Step Program to Beat Depression without Drugs" regarding Omega-3 fish oils- by Stephen S. Ilardi .
