Intense deja vu episodes
« on: June 06, 2014, 03:29:38 AM »
Anyone else experience this frequently? I am so scared by it I get this numerous times a day everyday almost. I also get this intense fear feeling where my vision goes funny as in goes foggy and darker. Is this epilepsy? Does anyone else get thus? Please help me

More like depersonalization. Which is a common symptom of anxiety.

But I have had this continuous for months and it won't go which makes me think its more serious than just anxiety. I have heard epilepsy can cause this?

I think I have something similar to what you have.  I've learned to accept that it comes and goes.  When it happens it seems scary at first but then I realize that the brain is an organ whose processes are affected by chemical releases and that at that moment my body released ALOT of those hormones.  My doctors don't seem concerned after a few blood tests, so I assume my anxiety plays a part in this.

Does your deja vu accompany any other symptoms?

I get these bouts for months on end... It's something associated with anxiety. Dispersonalization and Disrealization. Feel horrible yet harmless.
