Self checking and rechecking drive anybody else crazy?
« on: June 05, 2014, 05:41:22 PM »
I'm getting ready to go on a trip Sunday morning. This week my anxiety has ramped up big time. So I think all week what can go wrong and start self checking. Instead of enjoying my vacation I'm sitting thinking about my health which I'm sure there is nothing wrong. Does this happen to anybody else?

Yes.  I'm getting ready to leave on Saturday for a week and I'm SUPER anxious.  I'm not so much nervous right now, but I worry about what will happen on my trip.   I keep thinking what if I start to feel this way or that while I'm gone.  I don't really feel comfortable being in a strange city.

Have I mentioned how much I hate HA.   ::)

Same here, guys!

We leave Monday for a week & I'm already in panic mode. What if I find something wrong there? What meds should I bring? etc. etc. etc.

I am so anxious about my health that I can't even enjoy leaving town for a week with my family.

Everyone have a nice trip. Back in June 2012 while my wife, my daughter and myself were in Madrid, Spain
I began to have skipped beats. They began the first day of the trip. I was especially shook up, as we were in
a foreign country. I stuck it out and took valium a few times while there. When I got back, I went to the ER as they
got worse, then I went to my regular doctor, and then I had an Echo and all was OK. They lasted for around 6-8
weeks every day. I thought I would crack up. That was my first trip to the ER in quite some time. My doctor said try to
avoid the ER unless absolutely necessary.

Marc, I'm glad that all turned out just fine for you.  I'm dealing with palpitations right now, too, so that should make my trip even extra fun. (haha)

I hate to think so many of us are dealing with this same thing, but it is comforting to know, in many ways, that we aren't alone.

Here's to great trips for all of us with very little worries. :)  I don't want to say no worries because that's impossible. ;)
