Continuing to google when you know it's putting you into a bad state is a bad idea.

Are you being treated for it in any way?  It's a very common, manageable condition.

Yep, very common. Not sure what information you're finding but the reality is that many people have it occasionally. I started getting it as a teenager and it was a pain for a year or two, but then it went away after careful management. While I will still occasionally have a flare-up, it's usually because I ate something truly horrible that I should have known better than to eat. It's usually not a huge deal and there are lots of ways to manage it. In most cases even medications are not necessary, although there are several medications that can help if needed. It's certainly not worth losing sleep over worrying about it.

As I've already said, acid reflux is commonly caused by anxiety. You're not helping your situation.

Don't worry about it. Flares hardly alter your quality of life. This is a ludicrous thing to stress over.

It's too soon to decide that meds aren't working. Yep, your anxiety is probably making it worse. Also, you should look into a good diet for acid reflux. Low fat, low acid, non-spicy foods are recommended. And give it some time, and try to relax. You're certainly not going to die from this.

I've had acid reflux for around five years and the only thing that I can tell you is to try to get on some form of PPI. Initially my symptoms weren't terrible, however they became awful about three years ago. I've had the burning feeling in stomach, throat issues, cough, runny nose, and what I think might possibly be a hypertrophied tonsil (currently my number one health anxiety) all from the disease. I know that staying off of Google is hard, but go see a doctor.
