Can't sleep! Help..
« on: June 01, 2014, 08:13:32 PM »
I got no more problem with sleep since I got the trick to tire my self or drink milk or bathe in lavender soap. Last night was the worse. I didn't sleep! I still feel tired. My eyes drooped down and heavy. I hate having no sleep it makes me cranky! Yesterday I just ate a lot of cheese and I just got a tetanus shot I feel achy so I took paracetamol before sleeping. Woke up at 3am feeling worse. I got nightmares too!! I tried to sleep again at 4am but I got another nightmare! I hate it! My doc wont give me sleep meds even before she tells me im too young. I didn't drink milk last night since I have diarrhea at the moment. Can cheese worsen anxiety?! Seriously I ate a lot of it yesterday! I really hate this feeling :( sleep is essential for me.. If cheese worsen anxiety how can I get it out of my system? Im drinking loads of water now trying to flush it all away. :( please help any suggestion would be great thanks

She didn't know who would leave or stay. So she pushed them all away.

Some forms of cheese can be very high in glutamate, and glutamate has been implicated in anxiety, hypertension, and general malaise. Some people are more sensitive to it than others. Other foods that are high in glutamate are things like soy sauce, cold cuts, certain broths and processed foods. Also, if you are lactose intolerant, then milk and cheese could explain your diarrhea. If I eat foods high in glutamate before bed, I will be kept up all night with palpitations and tachycardia.

As an aside, listening to calming music before bed usually helps me sleep when I have insomnia.
