Pinprick red dots on skin...
« on: May 28, 2014, 09:34:02 PM »
I have pinprick red dots on my skin, mostly on my arms and a couple on my torso.  These dots are really not noticeable unless you get really up close, but I have about twenty on each arm.  They blanch if I run my fingernail over them.  They almost remind me of very tiny cherry angiomas but aren't raised.  I just started noticing them in the past few months.  Any ideas?  I'm really freaking out that it's something serious, but hoping its just from potential hormone fluctuations.  Does anyone else have these??

I know exactly what you're talking about. I've had them years. I have no idea whatsoever what they are, but I can tell you they aren't dangerous. I first noticed them when I went through an HIV scare.

I just went through something similar and kept reading if they blanch when pressed it is NOT "petechaie" which is the only thing "bad" it could be.

Thank u guys!  I read on a couple sites that these can appear related to liver issues, whih really freaked me out!  I feel better knowing I'm not the only one that has these and they are probably normal!
