Could this be anxiety?
« on: May 28, 2014, 09:10:10 AM »
Hi guys,

Hope you're all well.  So I've had a lot more anxiety lately because I had a traumatic(to me) episode about 2 weeks ago.  I am terrified of vomiting and got a minor stomach bug and vomited once for the first time in 4 years.

Anyway, my stomach has been acting weird and I gotta wonder if its due to my increased anxiety.  My appetite isnt completely normal, though Ive been eating balanced meals.  Also, I almost feel a pressure in my stomach and I have been constantly pressing on it to see if I can feel a tumor.  I'm scared that I have a stomach or ovarian tumor.  I have PCOS, but my periods have been regular for the past 6 months or so.  and if it matters, I'm 23.  What do you think?

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.  - AnxietyZone member Sixpack

I've had pressure in my stomach as well.  Know what caused it?  Hyperventilating.  We can hyperventilate w/o even realizing it.  A belch will relieve it and I feel much better.  I do that privately of course, I'm not uncouth  :P
