Well, I had to go to the ER last night because of having severe cramps, they did liver function blood tests, full blood count, blood clot checks, amylase, all came back clear. The doc examined me physically and said its pointless giving me an xray because only a perforation or blockage would show up.

Did not put my mind at rest again.

Ive heard that it doesnt always cause blood in the stool.
Blood that isnt visible.
. Late stage cancer of the colon causing the kind of pain you are having would most likely bleed vid able blood.

DON'T TAKE PILLS!!

I wish I knew how to help you because you are trapped in it bad. Short of therapy or medication, can you try mindfulness? It's a form of meditation/ cognitive behavioral therapy. At the first sign of an intrusive thought, take a deep breath in and keep breathing until it passes. Make yourself aware of your fixation on your pain and SUBSTITUTE that thought with another, like I'm strong, I'm alive, this is my mind playing tricks, whatever. Maybe you will begin to notice patterns in what triggers your fear. If you google Mindfulness, you might get some idea of how to do it--- and it just might give you something else to do besides imagine you have colon cancer.

Does the ER doctor know how scared you are? Does he know about the feeling in your tailbone and how certain you are that the tests are missing something? I'm not a doctor myself, but if I were and I had a terrified patient I think I'd do anything to try to give him peace... Whether than means an x-ray or more tests, or whatever. Just because a doctor is certain of a diagnosis doesn't mean the patient is. Especially with google always offering up such scary search results. :/

Honestly, here's what I would do... I would print out everything you've found online that's causing you anxiety and show it to your doctor. Or an ER doctor. Any doctor. Ask them to explain specifically how your case is different from those cases. You might be surprised at their insight. Your symptoms and diagnosis might start to make more sense.

Again, I understand the fear, and I'm really sorry you're going through this. I know it's frustrating. I know how impossibly hard it is to stop worrying when you can't think of anything else besides the pain. I pray you'll find the peace of mind you need.

My father was at the doctors earlier for something and my dad spoke to my doctor.
He wants to have a word with me tomorrow about everything because he thinks not much is going on .

I just went and researched black specks in the stool, and guess what came up in almost every result? IBS. I also read that if there was blood in the stool, it would not appear as specks, it would turn the whole thing black.

Don't let this new development worry you. It should actually make you feel better, because it confirms the original diagnosis--NOT cancer!
