Can't stand the waiting
« on: May 22, 2014, 08:48:55 PM »
Waiting for a diagnostic test is horrid.  I am afraid of motor neuron disease and think a I have some symptoms.  My neuro examined me and told me I have no signs of ***.  But he scheduled me for EMG because he thinks it will help get this out of my mind.  Only problem is the appointment is in September.  I have all sorts of scary symptoms like easy muscle fatigue, some sporadic muscle twitching, and left hand soreness and numbness in left ring finger from mild injury getting out of bed.  I can't stand the wait!  Want to feel better ASAP and high anxiety plus these physical symptoms are getting to me

It's hard, I know.  You just want to have it done asap so you can move on.

I think it's good news, though, that the neuro thinks you are fine and only scheduling the EMG to help ease your mind.

Niceguy, I can sure relate to you. I have been going through an incredibly rough time waiting on neuro results. An abnormal blood test has led to further testing etc... Horrible. Hang tight and try to keep yourself occupied. I am sure you are fine. Your symptoms are vague and are probably of no concern.  Keep us posted.

Everyone tells me I am fine - it's just these symptoms have been so long lasting.  Really worried about my hand.  No doctor seems concerned though
