Can all these pains really be anxiety?
« on: May 22, 2014, 10:44:06 AM »
Im asking because you guys are more experienced than me, but can these random pains I get all over my body really be anxiety? Sometimes I get them even when im in a good mood they will just hit me.

Some under my ribs, left side of my torso by my hip, abdomen, etc.

I understand the concept of anxiety causing pain, but these pains will happen even when my
Mind is occupied.

Yes, anxiety can cause all of that.  Also, anxiety doesn't go away immediately.  There will be some on a subconscious level, as well as residual.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.  - AnxietyZone member Sixpack

Thanks for the reply doug,

I guess you could say I found it hard to believe a sub conscience level of anxiety can cause all these physical pains that come and go throughout the day.

Especially because i'm new to this. Thanks again

Anxiety causes a lot of tension, which leads to random pains.  It definitely could be anxiety.  I'm sorry you have to deal with it!
