low grade fever ( cancer fear)
« on: May 22, 2014, 10:29:43 AM »
I am running a low grade fever since a week. It fluctuates between 99-99.6. I feel generally run down. My doctor ordered the usual blood tests ( CBC, white blood cell count, red blood cell count, thyroid test) Everything came back normal.
I accidentally read low grad fever could be Hotchkins disease. I didn't even want to deal more about it I am so scared. Can I be reassured that I am not having a low grade fever related to cancer since my blood tests came back normal. My doctor thinks this is not a fever. He said 100 is a fever but I do think I am running higher that I usually am and I do feel run down. What do you guys think ?

That is a normal temperature range.  You have nothing to worry about.
