Worried - Lymphoma.
« on: May 21, 2014, 04:28:43 PM »
I've had a cluster of swollen lymph nodes in my groin for about 7 months now.

About a month after I first noticed them I went to my GP who prescribed antibiotics but they had no affect. I then had a scan on the nodes and then another scan about 2 months after. The biggest node was 1.7cm and it hadn't got smaller but I was also told that it hadn't got bigger.

I was then referred to a specialist who issued a lymph node needle biopsy which I had yesterday.

I don't really have any symptoms of lymphoma apart from the nodes in the groin. I am now waiting for my results soon.

Has anyone else had swollen nodes for this amount of time and they've turned out to be harmless?

It's not unheard of. Some people's lymph nodes just never go down. The fact that it's not getting bigger is a good sign as well.

It's good you're getting it checked out, hope it all turns out swell.
