Tonic Clonic Seizure
« on: May 19, 2014, 11:57:58 AM »
Anyone have a fear of them? I am suffering so many frequent deja vu episodes alongside nausea, confusion spaced out feelings I am scared it is epilepsy. had tests and eeg and mri came back normal but heard seizures can happen at any age to anyone. I am worried sick I am developing epilepsy as surely anxiety cant cause deja vu and depersonalisation feelings frequent???

Anxiety can absolutely cause frequent feelings of deja vu/jamais vu/depersonalization/derealization.  I'm dealing with it with it my kid right now.  He has terrible allergies and we started him on a new med that caused a fuzzy, foggy feeling as a side effect.  He kept it to himself, worried about it, freaked himself out over the idea it might be something serious and started developing the deja vu/depersonalization feelings a few days ago.  Once we talked it out and he got some reassurance, he's doing better.  If you had normal MRI and normal EEG, the chances of it being a seizure are very slim.
