Is it possible for Rabies to be transmitted between humans?

A few weeks ago several ladys from eastern Europe kissed me on my hand because I gave them some money to buy medicine with (they were very poor and sick and lived in their car). I had a little wound on the hand they kissed but didn't think much of that at all.

Now I read that rabies is a growing problem in eastern Europe (I live in Sweden were rabies hasn't accured for over a 100 years). Now I'm freaking out about this! From what I've read on the internet rabies seems to be transmitted from animals to humans, but not between humans.

Does anyone know anything about this? I'm so scared!

These ladies would have to have rabies to give it to you.  If none of them were frothing at the mouth than you are ok.  I lived in rural Slovakia for many years and visit regularly.  You have nothing to worry about.
