blood pressure question, please?
« on: May 09, 2014, 09:14:15 PM »
so, i have been doing really good with my HA as well as my panic attacks. so much so, that i recently got over my fear of having my BP taken [was a HUGE fear of mine; i always thought that a doctor would tell me i had high BP and would die, etc.]

anyway -- i have a BP monitor, and was given the task of testing my BP three times a day for three weeks, to try and assist in showing me that guess what? my BP levels are fine. and they are, BUT..... quick question:

my BP is almost always a number like:  111/73

the top number [systolic] is somewhat low. i am banned from google [blocked it and BING on all my computers here at home] so i was wondering if anyone has any insight as to what that means? is that bad? good? sometimes, it is 111/65. i feel fine and i am not worried about it. just want to know because i'm not going over the "results" with the nurse who suggested that i do this until the three weeks is up.

thanks in advance!

Super healthy BP!

I've had mine shoot sky high as soon as someone would say 'I'm going to take your BP'.  Started taking it at home and found it to be perfectly normal. It's called 'white coat syndrome'.  Sometimes I can control it, but if I've gone to the doctor sure that I'm dying of tonsil cancer, it will be 140/80 instead of my normal very healthy BP.
