I know exactly how you feel! I have been dealing with this stuff for the last ten years. But these last few weeks has been awful. Constant constant panic and anxiety. I am always in a state of worry. It sucks!

What we haveto remember is we havethe power to calm ourselves.  Be mindful, take your medicine, see yourthrapist reglarly andtalk and share your feelings, and be active.  It goes away, but you haveto be patient andtry notto fight it.  Accept it.

I wish us all good luck as we recover from nervous illness.

I know I can calm myself down but sometimes it's just so strong and intense it takes over,I will soon be switching my meds which makes me sooo nervous, I'm in a high dose of zoloft and have been for years but it obviously does nothing,,I just hate that intense uncontrollable fear

Shan, I tend to panic about a lot of things! I panic in crowds. I can't go into a mall because I am afraid I can't escape easily if I had a panic attack. If I get stuck in traffic I panic. Elevators are a major problem. I panic a lot around closed spaces. We have these tiny one stall bathrooms where I work and everytime I have to use them I feel frighten cause I always wonder what if I get stuck!
I worry a lot about family, my job, etc. Usually stuff.

the good thing is you won't lose control or go crazy, even if it feels that way.
apparently people who go crazy have no idea it's happening.
its the fear playing tricks.
i listened to a audio cd, claire weekes pass through panic and its very reassuring, if you havent checked it out already.

Kercare--I'm not sure what triggers my panic because it's usually in me all day,my fear is when will the next attack come and what if I can't get out of it, I too will never take a elevator and feel a lot better knowing I have a way out of a place if I need it
Lulu--I know I won't actually go crazy but when that intense fear hits all my knowledge and common sense of that goes right out the window,it's like I'm having my first ever panic attack,no matter how educated I am on the anxiety and howany coping skills I have learned, once it hits,it completely takes over
