I am so sick of this. (*** scare. Still)
« on: May 05, 2014, 03:41:39 PM »
Began with body paresthesia. Then twitching in my legs primarily; twitching slowly moved upward. Now, right leg seems heavy/floppy-ish. Can't find any notable weakness. Clean EMG like 3 weeks ago. Has anyone else gone through this sort of thing? Right now the twitching is in my eyebrows and cheeks. It has mostly stopped, except for intermittent twitching in my feet, legs, and arms. Right arm also seems to feel painful when I move it. Like it's cramping. Right side seems to feel fatigued. Also I've started stuttering. Making words feels weird.

Also no hyperreflexia. I've literally been giving myself neuro-exams every day (I don't know how accurate they are, but I know basically what to look for). I can't find any indication of anything, but I still feel wrong.

Have you spoken to your doctor?

Parasthesias have nothing to do with ***.  Perceived weakness is common with BFS and anxiety.  I have experienced everything you are talking about.  The stuttering thing is terrible.  Once you start fixating on your speech, it's hard to stop.  And being aware of it changes the way you speak.  My mouth would get dry and my tongue thick...S's, CHs, and Th's would sound weird to me.  I would stumble on words especially when nervous.  All my symptoms get better when I deal with the anxiety, get sleep, lower my caffeine, and take care of myself.
