Leg pain and night time anxiety
« on: May 01, 2014, 10:45:42 AM »
Every now and then I get left leg pain when lying down(have issues with sciatic nerve or my butt muscle tightening). So last night I was having a lot of pain and I think my anxiety was kicking in. I felt very uneasy and my whole body became very weak and loose. Not sure if it was because I was tired or the anxiety kicking in. Yes immediately I thought DVT and I tried to rationalize that it wasn't. When I get on all fours the pain goes away.

DVT pain is intense and unrelenting.  And your leg gets hot to the touch and looks like an eggplant.

I have a lot of nocturnal leg pain.  I have since I was a very young child.  Icy-Hot helps me a lot - it sort of "covers up" the pain so I can fall asleep, though I may have to reapply it if I don't fall asleep fast enough.  (I recommend not getting the vanishing scent ones, btw - they're lighter scented because they have less of the active ingredient, and it doesn't work as well, IMO.)
