Recurring throat infections!
« on: April 29, 2014, 08:33:28 PM »
So I keep getting throat infections. I think I have had 6 so far this year. They are always mild and usually last 3 days. The last one I had lasted quite a while though and I suffered from quite severe pain every time I swallowed. This was just as little as 3 weeks ago though. I am getting anxious over it now. And I feel another one coming right now. However, there have been many days that I thought that I was getting another throat infection but the next day it would feel fine.

I have two questions: does anyone get recurring infections as much as I do? And is it possible for anxiety to trick your mind into thinking you have an infection which may cause phantom symptoms - when in actuality it is just anxiety and all in my mind?
