Teeth Falling Out Dream?? Anyone had this before?
« on: April 29, 2014, 01:23:36 AM »
Hi there, i just had a dream about that two of my teeth are falling out. Well my dream was kind of a bit funny dream, and during my dream, I told my mom that the two of my teeth fall out and complaining that how come the maid had her teeth done and i don't get to have my teeth done. and my mom even joked that "Just put some glue and stick the teeth in and that will do" and then i looked again on my teeth on my palm and it has now a paint, designed (it's like a nail art and it's kind of weird.)  B-;
and then i woke up.

Actually this isn't the first i had this. but i don't get this kind of dreams constantly. Well i am just kind of scared that teeth falling out dreams is a bad sign and something bad will happen to me! I fear that my Health Anxiety could happen! Oh God! really terrified! Because i heard before that teeth falling out in dreams is a bad sign.

So have you ever had a dream about teeth falling out? I am really scared about this! Please share your experience that if you experienced it too and a little reassurance please will do. Ughh i think my Health Anxiety is getting worse!  :traurig001:

That's a HA beginners dream.

No biggie.

Wheelchairs and paraplegia are the fun dreams.

Don't get too worked up, you'll make your anxiety worse.

I just had a dream like that last night. Ended up losing all my teeth in it! I get those dreams all the time. It's a common dream among anxiety sufferers. It is not a sign of bad things to come, so don't worry!

Dreams are just subconcious thoughts. Your brain unwinding. I found that some dreams' conflicts involve a lot of personal fears or shortcomings. Health Anxiety isn't neccessarily the root of dreams being health-harming scenarios in my humble opinion, but having a certain thought in mind may play out in your dream. Even some of the smallest instances in every day life can be tied into the dream as well. You could have possibly seen something tooth-related that day in which your mind plays out a story relating a personal worry and something that is stored in the back of your mind.  Dreams that cause humiliating factors are pretty common (being naked in public, smelling bad, forgetting to wash the shampoo out of your hair) as well as escape-conflicting factors such as doors not shutting right, running slowly, or extreme loss of time.

Blended together can produce some wild dreams. Is it out of the norm? Not at all. The mind stores far more than the mind can regurgitate... That's pretty deep lol.

Sorry to hear you got a bad bout in your rest that night.

I think i read before somewhere that a dream where your teeth fall out signifies a fear of losing control. I've had it a few times before &my fiance dreams this frequently!

That theory makes a whole lot of sense to me! I constantly feel that I'm losing control and I get this kind of dream a lot.

I've had this dream more times than I can count.  It's unreal how many times.  I read along time ago it was a vanity thing...but I definitely believe its anxiety related.

ANYTIME I dream about my teeth it's that they are falling out!  Or they are all real loose or look HORRIBLE.  Dreams really mean nothing at all, just a conglomeration of what you see, think and hear over the days that stick into your subconscious.  Maybe you were brushing your teeth one day in the last week and noticed something on a tooth and at some point you noticed someones pretty painted nails... - subconsciously that stuck with you even if you don't recall it now.  Then your mind just makes up a story and puts things all together, that's all it is.  (like suppose yesterday you saw a bunch of leaves blowing down the street, and later that day you were in a store and saw a bunch of notebooks for sale...  you may dream that night that notebooks are blowing down the street)

I dream this about once a year - my mom would dream it all the time too. I have read that it symbolizes fear of loss or losing control. Apparently this is a very common dream to have.

This is one of the many recurring dreams I have. I usually dream about teeth problems at least once every 3 months. In my dreams, my teeth don't merely fall out but I actually use my bottom teeth to pull out the top teeth. But the weird thing is, in my dream, I can't help it. I can't prevent myself from ripping my own teeth out with my teeth. It's weird. Imagine moving your jaw forward, and then using your bottom teeth to rip the top teeth backwards… that's what I do in my dreams until they bend the actual gums. The teeth usually don't come out but sometimes they do and then my mouth fills up with blood. It is very disturbing. It happens a lot though. And has been happening since I was a child.

I have a similar dream all the time.  There's a pain in my tooth...I mess with it...it pops out.  I think it has to do with the fact that I do occasionally get a brief tooth pain and my tooth "pops" into place.  I guess subconsciously I worry that it means there's something really wrong with it.  I hate that dream!  But it seems pretty common to have dreams about this...
