Endoscopy with anesthesia
« on: April 28, 2014, 02:03:00 PM »
I just finished getting an endoscopy. So nervous of the anesthesia. Let me tell you it was a breeze. Felt wonderful after, just groggy. No physical symptoms afterwards, no anxiety. So wonderful. When they are administering it just relax, you will be out in no time. Nice peaceful dream and I was awake. They got biopsys but no pain after. No hiatal hernia(had all symptoms) no reflux(had all symptoms). Anxiety my friends, is the biggest meanie in the world. That is all.

My doctor recommended I get this done, but my symptoms just didn't quite add up, so he agreed that not getting it done was reasonable.  I've been putting it off as a result, but I've been battling intense chest pain recently.  I'm guessing he'll bring it up again.  So, if I have to get it done, I'm glad to hear your report.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.  - AnxietyZone member Sixpack
