So this morning after I woke up I had a little bit of a runny nose, so I breathed in really deep and I got the feeling of water up my nose - like when you go swimming. I'm worried about N. Fowleri brain eating amoeba. I've read that it can live in indoor dust, and that bedding/pillow/sheets/mattresses are filled with dust. I'm worried that some of it went WAY up my nose when I inhaled this morning. Someone please tell me I'm being ridiculous and why.
I know logically it's rare, and probably even more rare to contract it from dust - but it still doesn't stop the fear in the moment. No, I'm not getting treatment for anxiety at the moment as our insurance doesn't cover therapy and there are no "pro-bono" therapists where we are (rural area).
