Endoscope tommorow - trying not to freak out
« on: April 21, 2014, 08:55:28 PM »
As the title suggests I am getting my endoscope tomorrow afternoon and I am trying hard not to get worked up over my fear of Barrett's. I do have one question though, I was reading that only 10%-15% of people with Chronic GERD go on to progress to Barrett's. What is defined as "chronic GERD"? Is that GERD sufferers in general or is that actually a whole other subgroup? Is Barrett's low for us with daily/weekly symptoms - even those of us with symptoms on PPIs?
