Liver Enzymes Normal but high triglycerides
« on: May 14, 2008, 02:32:54 PM »
My AST and ALT were on the low side of normal much to my relief. I was trembling by the time I got to the doc's office. However my trigylcerides were 341 and my cholesterol was 220. He gave a brand of niacin he sells along with some of his fish oil. He makes money on these products. At least I can breathe easy.

Congrats on the liver enzymes and I can relate to the high cholesterol and triglycerides issue. I am taking garlic with lecithin, fish oil, and red yeast rice. I haven't had my cholesterol checked again yet, but I know that I feel alot better than I have. Also, the red yeast rice has an added effect of regulated your bowel movements, so that will also have an added benefit to releasing additional fat from the system.
