My former co-worker had a blood clot in her calf from an injury and
it was swollen, red, felt hot and was painful.

Thanx again everyone. Not swollen, red, hot. Pains and sensations are nothing major.....its just that I googled.

I'm having the exact issue and it has persisted for going on a month. . I went to get a emg done on both my arm and my leg to check for nerve damage as the issue has been isolated to my left side. My arm they discovered I have Ulnar nerve entrapement but couldn't find anything wrong nerve wise with my leg, so I'm guessing from that its a muscular/skeleton issue.

Are you overweight? I have about 30lbs extra on me according to Bmi indicator. I'm also not as active as I would like to be and I'm on the computer for 8+ hours a day on a normal day due to work. I sit cross legged and that's something that should be considered a long time sitting on one foot; its that side that is bothering me. Another this is I went to see a doctor who didn't think it was a clot, its been going on for a month so if it was a clot you would think it would have worsened. Another thing is that its not always bothersome, some days worse then others and then sometimes it feels completely normal. the physio Im seeing says he thinks its related to lower back and when he adjusts me he can tell that its much tigher then the other one, so as far as that goes atleast I know its not in my head, but it can still be a result of stress none the less.
